Being a photographer has given me incredible opportunities to connect with amazing people from all walks of life and industries. Supporting local businesses has always been a passion of mine, and collaborating with them is truly an honor. It’s a privilege to have business owners place their trust in me to market and photograph their work, and I’m forever grateful to be part of their journey.
Recently, I had the pleasure of collaborating with Mimi’s Bridal Montana to photograph their stunning collection of dresses. Each gown is uniquely tailored to a bride’s style, featuring distinct silhouettes, fabrics, and details, which creates a personalized experience for every bride who visits the boutique. We had an amazing time capturing a variety of dresses and styling them with local vendors (who will be tagged at the end of this blog).
Styling models can feel intimidating, especially when working with someone new or navigating different personalities during each session. To ease the process, I always start with introductions, taking a moment to break the ice and get to know the model. Once we’re ready, I begin with gestures and poses that involve movement, creating a relaxed environment where the model can feel comfortable in the setting, the outfits, and with me.
As the session progresses, I keep the atmosphere lighthearted, engaging, and fun. I strive to make everyone involved feel at ease and confident. Prior to the shoot, I research and prepare as much as possible, ensuring I’m fully ready to guide the model and collaborate seamlessly with any stylists or team members present.
This was a wonderful experience, and I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity. I look forward to working with these incredible vendors again soon!
